Description:

Precision Oncology is becoming the standard of care for many cancer types. We move from one treatment for all to treatments for specific patients. New cancer drugs are developed for specific characteristics of tumors. Biomarkers play an important role to describe those characteristics and help identifying the optimal treatment for the patient.

This session introduces the concept of biomarkers in precision oncology. The distinguished panel of patient representatives, scientific, clinical and pharma experts will discuss how the science of biomarkers translate into benefit for cancer patients, and what challenges arise in implementing into practice.

This session is hosted by the European Cancer Patient Coalition and unconditionally sponsored by Daiichi Sankyo.
