Description:

This session will include a facilitated panel discussion with representatives from Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, to share perspectives on the themes emerging from World Indigenous Cancer Conferences (WICC), bridging the last WICC held in Canada in 2019 to the planning for the 2023 WICC in New Zealand. Panellists will reflect on outcomes, international connections and partnership opportunities that emerged from the last WICC, along with changes within respective jurisdictions. Common themes will be explored including Indigenous governance structures, cultural safety and humility in care, and Indigenous-led research and data.
